Andrea Jeremiah
Andrea Maria Jeremiah, an Indian actor and singer most well known for her roles in Tamil and Malayalam films. She made her acting debut with the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam as well as her Malayalam debut in Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in the Tamil Nadu region in an Anglo-Indian family. Andrea's father was an Madras High Court lawyer. She also has one younger sister, who works as a research assistant in Leuven Belgium. Jeremiah was born in the vicinity of Chennai and went to National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea was able to learn piano during her eighth year. At age 10 she was a part of a group of the Jackson Five called Young Stars which formed the basis of her first singing and music composing career. The actress was also a stage performer in the college she attended and appeared in several productions staged through The Madras Players and EVAM. Andrea was also the Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea started her acting career as a young actress acting in Girish Karnad Nagamandala. Her 2006 role in the Leo Coffee commercial included Shiva. The year 2006 was the time she starred in a show that was broadcast on Podhigai. She has performed all over India. She appeared briefly in Kanda Mudhal's climax, (2005). She sang a song for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu. She was asked to play one of his lead female characters on Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea played Kalyani, a housewife with a husband who has had an affair. The character was allegedly targeted for blackmail. Andrea was chosen for the part after Simran and Tabu both actresses were contacted by producers. The film came out in early 2010. She agreed in 2011 to take on a small support role in Venkatprabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha and it was released in August 2011, Annayum Rasoolum from Rajeeev Ravi the romantic comedy film that she made her debut in Malayalam in, was released on August 11, 2013.
